In your role, you will

  • Ensure design solutions meet stress performance specifications, applicable airworthiness regulations, and industry best practice.
  • Review dispositions of production support engineering and substantiate repairs to demonstrate required stress performance, and compliance with applicable airworthiness regulations.
  • Execute intermediate to complex Stress engineering assignments requiring familiarity with several fields of engineering.
  • Identify and report on defects and deficiencies in work done by others.
  • Prepare progress reports.
  • Recommend changes in plans and specifications to suit special conditions
  • Generate documentation for approval by others
  • Review sections of documents prepared by others and recommend approval
  • Perform various stress analyses and have good knowledge of static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance and finite element model (FEM) analysis for composite and/or metallic structures.
  • Identify design risks and weight reduction opportunities
  • Support concept generation and structural optimization by guiding engineers as they model the structure.
     

As our ideal candidate

  • Holds an Aerospace or Mechanical engineering degree (Bachelor or Master) with strong focus on Mechanics of Materials and Structural Analysis.
  • Has an experience of 5 to 8 years in structural analysis.
  • Works autonomously with initiative and proactivity.
  • Has functional knowledge of:
    • Metallic and composite material properties.
    • Static strength requirements of aeronautical metallic structure.
    • Composite classical laminate theory and composite failure analysis.
    • Finite Element Analysis principles and associated tools.
    • Fatigue requirements of aeronautical metallic structure.
    • Aeronautical certification requirements.
  • Has a sustained hands-on experience on:
    • FEM analysis.
    • Structural analysis using classical hand calculation.
    • Composite structure analysis.
    • Metallic structure fatigue analysis.
    • Structure sizing and certification.
    • Repair sizing & justification.
  • Is proficient with Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Has strong communication skills in English (written, spoken).
  • Is a team player and can demonstrate good organizational skills.
  • Has personal initiative and is creative in finding ways to resolve problems.
