Based at our site in Crespin, we are currently looking to recruit a:

Physical Integration Mechanical Senior Designer (m/f)


The Physical Integration Mechanical Senior Designer’s main responsibility will be to set up basic concepts based on the Bid data and input from the concept engineer. He/she guide and follow-up the designers and check their work (inclusive off-shore work packages).

Key responsibilities:

- Go through all information of Bids Engineering and customer specifications which relate to his part

- Develop the basic concepts, having those validated by a concept team engineer and hand over to the designer; inclusive low cost off shoring, to execute the detail design

- Draw up and weekly follow up detail planning per designer

- Retrieve the required information from suppliers and System Engineering

- Follow up the design work ,adjust the the basic concept if necessary starting from the information received from the designer and/or Concept Team Engineer

- Prepare Design Reviews (internal + external):

- Explain the concept

- Verification if the concept is consistent with to the offered information

- Follow up open Design Reviews items

- Validation of the 3D-models drawn up by the designer towards concept and validation of the 2D-drawings made by the draughtsman-designer inclusive for the off shore work

- Enter new ideas in order to meet the requirements of the aspect ‘design to cost’

- Support the Concept Team Engineer in the follow up of external work packages


- Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanics);

- Relevant experience in Mechanical design, mechanics & materials and electrical integration

- Notions Engineering Planning

- Good communication skills, team work, problem solving, coaching

- Knowledge of Catia V5, SAP, PDM;

- French and English – Fluent, additional language skills in Dutch would be an advantage
