At Bombardier, we provide maintenance services for supporting commuter rail fleets as well as operations and maintenance services for automated rail transit systems. Our network of fleet maintenance and service delivery sites include five transit agencies, and 10 airports.

Based in Dallas, Texas at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, the Rail Safety Advisor will be responsible for overseeing and auditing the safe operating procedures for DFW’s Skylink system. The role will provide technical guidance, ensure regulatory compliance, investigate incidents, conduct trainings, and develop action plans and programs to maintain a safety-focused culture.

In your role you will:

- Lead the Site in creating a safe and healthy work environment that aligns with Company safety policies, programs, engineering processes and reflects federal, state and local regulations;
- Support the Site in managing and ensuring Regulatory Compliance, while developing strategies and reports aimed at validating, maintaining and improving Regulatory Compliance;
- Create, conduct, monitor, audit and review safety training for employees, contractors/vendors and Airport personnel;
- Develop & implement emergency procedures;
- Audit and participate in accident and injury investigations, facility inspections, and risk assessments; Develop alternate solutions which prevent reoccurrence;
- Develop safe work procedures as they pertain to employees’ and contractors’ job tasks, equipment, tools and special projects;
- Support Site managers and HSE coordinators with programs, communications and processes in alignment with corporate HSE policy and practices;
- Oversee the administration, implementation, and enforcement of all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and processes that have been distributed throughout the Bombardier Transportation.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health & safety, industrial hygiene or other related discipline;
- You possess at least three (3) years of relevant experience in a safety-related role in an industrial/operations/maintenance environment;
- You possess strong leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills;
- You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
- You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;
- You can operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;
- Your written and verbal English communication skills are excellent;
- You are able to lift forty to fifty (40-50) pounds unassisted;
- You demonstrate flexibility to work a variety of hours as business demands, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
