This position is located at the Bombardier Customer Training, DFW Airport, Texas, USA.

In your role, you will:

- Develop and revise courseware associated to theoretical and practical aircraft systems instruction to comply with Transport Canada and/or FAA guidelines, or other regulatory agencies involved in the certification of Bombardier training curriculums

- Responsible for the development, delivery and revision of exams associated to theoretical and practical aircraft instruction under areas of expertise, following applicable Transport Canada and/or FAA guidelines (or any regulatory agency involved in the certification of Bombardier curriculums.)

- Participate in continuous self-development of technical expertise enabling assignment of a wide area of the aircraft system training responsibilities

- Prepare, develop and instruct specialized courses to fit specific customers needs

- Conduct training needs analysis to determine the particular requirements of the required course

- Identify the target audience, depth of instruction and key teaching points and objectives of the intended lesson

- Verify that all key teaching points / training objectives conform to standards established by regulatory authorities ultimately involved in certification of the end product

- Research system engineering data from internal and external sources, to create material to support the teaching objectives

- Develop draft training plans, outlining a logical flow of information suited to meet the identified training objectives

- Use applicable graphic/text software to assemble training material to satisfy the course training plans, to include, developing draft graphics for submission to external support departments

- Develop multi-media presentations and lesson plans to support course delivery

- Validate training material prior to mass printing

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you:

- Must have 10 years related work experience in aviation maintenance and formal instructor training experience or certification

- Must have 1-2 years of experience working within the aviation ISD environment
- Have Thorough knowledge of mechanical / electronic/ avionics aircraft systems related to area of responsibility as well as prior instructional experience (preferred)

- Have Thorough knowledge in a variety of office software programs in order to participate in the development, revision and delivery of training material and presentations (preferred)
- Have experience as a Mechanical Instructor; Ability to teach all mechanical systems at an ATA Level 3, Engine Run and Taxi (preferred)
- Have experience as an Avionics Instructor; Ability to teach all avionics/electrical systems at an ATA Level 3 and Taxi (preferred)
