Professional Senior, Engineering - Structure Design

In your Professional Sr, Engineering - Structures Design role, you will

•    Provide technical direction to junior and intermediate design engineers to accomplish day to day tasks.
•    Provide technical engineering solutions to production line for all structural and system installation issues.
•    Ensure effective management of all design activities by closely working with other engineering departments, internal and external customers, Methods, Quality and Procurement.
•    Work closely with the Section Chief to continuously develop skills of team members through coaching, employee training and development.
•    Closely interface with, stress, systems, manufacturing and test groups.
•    Prepare engineering-related structural and systems layouts, interface drawings, installations, assembly and detail drawings.
•    Support design and program reviews with partner/suppliers;
•    Status projects for functional management.
•    Maintain technical knowledge and awareness of developments related to airframe structures

As our ideal candidate

•    You have bachelors or Master’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
•    You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in airframe primary and secondary structural design including systems installations,
•    You have understanding of airframe configuration optimization, loads, stress analysis, materials, manufacturing processes, tooling concepts and structural in-service requirements. 
•    You have knowledge of CATIA V4/V5.
•    You have understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures.
•    You are adept at solving engineering problems in a high-pressure environment and can deal with complex issues quickly and independently.
•    You have pro-active mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities.
•    You must be able to work in a team environment and collaborate with Technical Experts, Professionals and Technicians on a daily basis
•    You have excellent communication skills in English. French will be considered an asset. 
•    You have strong leadership, excellent interpersonal skills and a high sense of commitment.
•    You are familiar with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
