For our site in Hennigsdorf near Berlin we are currently looking to recruit a Product Safety Manager (m/f).

Purpose of the job, responsibilities & challenges

- Define, maintain and supervise the safety process in the responsible region according to BT directives and relevant norms and standards (e.g. EN 50126, EN50128, EN 50129, SIRF, CSM, TSIs, etc.)
- Support, review and contribute to safety cases, especially review of technical safety reports
- Support the safety assessment in bids
- Define, maintain and supervise the incident reporting process, ensure correct information flow in case of product safety-related incidents
- Define safety requirements according to valid standards and directives
- Act as single point of contact for safety engineering for product safety issues in case of incidents and accidents, report to product safety executive in such matters
- Responsible for reporting system and governance of safety incidents
- Assess the progress of international standardization groups whenever product safety is affected
- Represent BT in standardization committees
- Perform safety audits
- Ensure the exchange of knowledge and best practices between projects and relevant organizational units


- Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Min. 7 – 10 years of relevant working experience
- Excellent knowledge of European and worldwide safety assurance and authorization processes, including relevant standards
- Project Management and Quality Management experience (ISO 9001)
- Proven problem-solving skills in complex technical environments
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
