For our location in Hennigsdorf, we are currently looking to recruit a TCMS Product Family Manager.

ROLE:

The primary purpose of the position “TCMS Product Family Manager” is to define and align the TCMS System Solutions applied in the different Vehicle Product Families and to drive the Standardization. As such, you will be the main interface between the RSE-TCMS and the Vehicle Product Families organizations.

The major objectives of the position are to left-shift by pre-defining the TCMS System Solutions used in the BT Vehicle Product Families, so the pre-defined solutions can be used in Bids and Order Projects, to baseline the TCMS System Solutions and to prepare the Solution Roadmap, to derive high level market requirements and improvement targets and to link those needs to the TCMS R&T program.

This role will be responsible for the Vehicle Product Families assigned to the Vehicle Product Engine in Hennigsdorf, namely TALENT, TWINDEXX VARIO and ZEFIRO.

Key responsibilities:

1. Definition of Requirements towards Product Development

- Document and link Key Market Requirements to TCMS Product Development.
- Work closely with TCMS Vehicle Engineers in defining TCMS System Solution Baselines.

2. Standardization of TCMS System Solutions

- Drive the TCMS System Solutions applied for the different BT Vehicle Families to Standardization converging to and using the TCMS Platform Concepts and Building Blocks.
- Define KPIs in the standardization process (impacting cost, time and quality).

3. Definition and Alignment of TCMS System Solution towards BT Vehicle Product Families

- Be the main interface between the RSE-TCMS organization and the BT Vehicle Product Families.
- Define and align the TCMS System Solutions to be applied in the different BT Vehicle Product Families, so the defined solutions follow the general TCMS Platform, its Building Blocks and the defined solutions can be re-used in Bids and Order Projects.
- Define and document TCMS Architecture, Product Break Down Structure (PBS), Work Break Down Structure (WBS), Functional Break Down Structure (FBS) and Sub-System ICDs.
- Formalize BT Product Families in the Vehicle Family Product Books.

4. Planning and Alignment on Roadmaps

- Define TCMS System Solutions to cover current and future Baselines and link TCMS System Solution Baselines to the TCMS R&T Roadmap.
- Align roadmaps concerning scope, timeline and financing.

5. Transition from Solution Definition into Bids and Order Projects

- Support the Bid Management Team with TCMS Solution Selection and Delta Analysis (using the pre-defined TCMS System Solutions as a base) and also provide support the Order Projects in concept phase.
- Select the TCMS Base, Options and Configuration to be applied in every Bid and Order Project.

Qualifications

- Master’s or higher degree in engineering (electrical or software).
- Additional business education as an additional plus.
- More than 10 years of previous experience in rails industry (out of which 5 years in Vehicle Engineering or System Engineering on several international projects).
- Excellent understanding of Railway Operation/ Maintenance, Train/ Vehicle Functions, Sub-Systems, TCMS and TCMS Development and Integration into Trains/ Vehicles.
- Proven leadership skills and experience working in global international teams.
- Cross-functional working experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent English (both written and spoken). German language is a plus.
- Strong focus on finding solutions.
- Customer oriented, strategical, self-driven person
