For our Locomotive Business Unit at our site in Kassel/Germany we are currently looking for a
Country Manager Homologation (m/f)
Key accountabilities:
Handle the homologation process with the relevant authorities (government agencies / reviewers / Notified Bodies) in the respective European countries
- Prepare the High-Level Homologation Plan (for national approval)
- Prepare the project description jointly with Project Management as well as Engineering Dept.
- Submit the approval request and project description to the authorities
- Liaise with, and select the Notified Bodies and reviewers
- Arrange and hold meetings with all institutions to discuss the scope of homologation as well as the approval period
- Define homologation requirements with all institutions and obtain mutual commitment
- Reconcile test specifications with all institutions
- Obtain rail test permit from authorities
- Clarify open issues with Engineering and all institutions
- Assess workload of authorities
Co-ordinate the preparation of the documentation and its submission to the relevant institutions
- Prepare document delivery schedule (including deadlines and scope)
- Review the structure, completeness, timeliness and quality of the documentation
Co-ordinate required experiments and reviews
- Prepare document delivery schedule (including deadlines and scope)
- Contact testing institutes and reviewers (regarding timelines, duration, scope)
- Reconcile test specifications with Engineering, reviewers and testing institutes
- Commission, and provide guidance to, the testing institutes and reviewers
- Assess (formally) the results, collaborating with Engineering (assessment of contents)
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- University degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering (FH/ TU/ technical college or university), or professional technical training and work experience in the field of equipment approvals
- 3 years minimum of professional experience planning and technically executing plant or machinery engineering projects
- Business fluent in oral and written English
- Good presentation skills
- Focussed, proactive mindset and working method
- Must be a team player and capable of working independently
- Willingness to travel, flexibility and ability to handle pressure
