Purpose of the job

The Head of Transformation ensures a worldwide flawless execution and governance of the restructuring activities in his designated area of responsibility and drives resolution of related issues. He has a global mandate and global leadership responsibility.

Requirements

Managing the Transformation Propulsion

- Ensures that the mid and long term profitable restructuring strategy in his designated area is defined, implemented and executed.
- Focusses continuously on a proactive management and governance in order to ensure that delegated budgets are kept, schedules are met and respective obligations are delivered with the view of the full restructuring scope.
- Ensures sufficient financial and reporting governance and shall ensure all risks and opportunities are properly addressed and mitigated.
- Ensures that correct networks are established to other functions to support rapid resolution of any execution issues.
- Sets priorities in case of resource conflicts and ensures resolving execution issues within the right escalation processes.
- Has personnel and disciplinary responsibility.

- Main work packages include:
- Site specialisation strategy and map to Competency plan/site
- Project Transfer plan/site
- Personnel transfer plan
- Coordination and support of Labor Council Management & negotiation
- Support to Int. & Ext. Communication plans
- Supports footprint deployment in terms of:
- Detailed site implementation plan
- Receiving/Sending WPs management, i.e. ToT/ToM, special processes, infrastructure etc.
- Local HC management, i.e. ramp-up, ramp-down, termination etc.
- Local communication

Leading the “Test Center” Project

- Ensures that the project objectives and planning is defined, implemented and executed.
- Setup of core team
- Detailed budget and implementation plan
- Lead and Manage Execution of the project in QCT
- Support communications related to the project

Strategic portfolio management

- Introduce systematic and market-value driven approach for variability mgt., customizing vs. standardisation of Propulsion systems, products and services
- Enhances and simplifies the process from innovation mgt. to product planning and development to bids and project execution
- Secure effective collaboration of Sales, Product marketing, Platform & Bids and Product engines
(for Propulsion products & Services).

Qualifications

Qualifications & Functional Knowledge

- Master degree in an engineering, business or legal discipline
- 10+ years of industrial experience
- 6 years of leadership experience either in Project Management, Engineering or Operations
- Proven leadership performance
- International working experience
- Experience leading several projects of strategic importance
- Experience running a number of diverse multi country/site and/or cross functional complex projects
- Good technical understanding of complex systems and products
- Good analytical thinking skills and an ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in complex pricing models and driving cost benchmarking
- Customer oriented
