What are your contributions to the team?

As the Program Analyst, you will be responsible of the management of a portfolio of projects.  You will lead internal and external activities between functions while ensuring that all required governance, integration, communication, evaluation and execution of various elements of the Programs are in accordance with the program strategy (customer, quality and business case requirements) and schedule.


In your role, you will:
•    Own and manage the development and management of the strategies, schedules and budget of your engineering project portfolio
•    Manage your project portfolio within the organization of the program office (Plan, Organize, Direct and Control)
•    Create and follow project schedules to meet the Program requirements
•    Lead and facilitate project integration, evaluation and execution with internal and external stakeholders
•    Evaluate commercial impacts of technical change and prioritize them
•    Ensure the adherence of the Program to budget targets;
•    Prepare profitability analysis and present them to the management team
•    Provide support and prioritization to team members both internally and externally
•    Control Program costs (manpower, material and other direct costs), support negotiations with suppliers and other stakeholders in terms of schedule, technical scope and commercial impact
•    Lead internal and external governances to provide visibility on your project performance to the stakeholders
•    Work in a cross-functional environment where you will interact with all management levels
•    Identify potential problems. Manage risk and opportunities by mitigating them along with functional teams
•    Coordinate and ensure quality of governances and ensure schedule adherence

How to thrive in this role?

As our ideal candidate, 

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred), business management, project management or similar. Additional education and professional certifications would be an asset, e.g. PMI 
  • You have at least three (3) years of direct experience in a similar role in the aerospace industry or a complex manufacturing sector. Five (5) or more years of experience would be an asset
  • You have knowledge of certification requirements, aircraft systems (preferred), or any other similar manufacturing industry  
  • You possess good communication skills (written and spoken) and the ability to influence different levels of the organization. Good interpersonal and informal leadership skills, i.e. an ability to influence without formal authority 
  • You can work under pressure and tight deadlines, and still deliver on commitments 
  • You master the Microsoft Office suite and a very strong aptitude in data management 
  • You are customer-oriented and innovative in problem-solving 
  • You show an open mind and a great ability to work in a team 
  • You are well organized and show great time management and prioritization skills  
  • You can work autonomously and are results-driven, and able to make decisions. 
  • You can work on site at our Pearson facility in Toronto at least two days per week
  • Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an asset but not required
