Financial Analyst, Internal Control
Based at the Aerospace administrative centre in Dorval, you will report to the Manager, Internal Control. Your main responsibility will be to support Aerospace with the establishment and maintenance of disclosure controls and procedures and internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with the Canadian Securities Administrators Regulation OSC 52-109.

In your role, you will be responsible for:
• Participating in preparing and performing the annual scoping exercise to determine which processes to audit;
• Identifying risks and areas of concern that have an impact on the 52-109 certification process;
• Supporting all the OSC stakeholders for the 52-109 certification process:

o Analyzing and reviewing the internal control gaps for all aerospace sites; uploading them on a database and performing the required follow-ups with the stakeholders at Bombardier;
o Monitoring, managing and communicating on a quarterly basis the business process owner database and performing the required follow-ups;
o Monitoring, managing and summarizing on a quarterly basis the certifier database (Bombardier VP-level) and performing the required follow-ups;

• Supporting the OSC and Aerospace compliance activities for one or more aerospace business segments;
• Collaborating in the documentation development of business processes;
• Preparing internal control matrix templates and walkthrough plans;
• Planning audit sessions with the resources responsible for the business process;
• Gathering, reconciling and consolidating evidence of the existence and operation of the internal controls;
• Identifying and assessing internal control gaps in order to understand the impacts on the financial statements and partnering with the aerospace business segments to help them close these gaps and by putting adequate controls in place;
• Managing the control failures database by updating information and preparing quarterly governance reports; and,
• Providing training sessions on the methodology and tools.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you:
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and have a CPA designation with audit experience;
• Have a minimum of four years of experience;
• Have excellent mastery of French and English, both spoken and written (all documentation is prepared in English);
• Possess hands-on experience with Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Have interest in the audit field with the ability to challenge and have a good knowledge of accounting standards;
• Are able to prioritize and work on multiple files at the same time;
• Are at ease in an environment that is evolving according to the different priorities of the business;
• Are well organised and are able to perform under pressure to meet deadlines;
• Are able to deal with stakeholders in a professional and tactful manner;
• Are recognized for your collaboration and your excellent team spirit;
• Are autonomous and thorough in your work;
• Have a developed analytical mind;
• Available to travel to other sites in the region of Montreal when required on a minimal basis (less than 10% of the time).
