We're looking for Crew Dispatchers interested in working at the Operations office located in Downtown Montreal, Quebec.

The Crew Dispatcher reports directly to the Supervisor Crew Management and is responsible for ensuring that trains crews are properly dispatched in a timely fashion and in compliance with, mandatory rest, hours of service rules and as per collective agreements.

In your role you will:

- Ensure that the train crews are called properly and in a timely fashion to be in place at locations required for an on time departure in accordance with good Customer Service.
- Ensure that the spare-board is properly manned in order to respond to extra trains, book off’s, vacation, etc.
- Ensure that all employees reporting in are in compliance with Mandatory rest rule, hours of service, compliant to regulations and cost efficient.
- Ensure that the crew management system is maintained up to date and that employees are advised in sufficient time of the upcoming re-qualification dates of medicals and rules (CROR) before they are due for re-examination

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You possess a college diploma (AEC or DEC) in transport logistics combined to 1-3 years of relevant experience OR a High School Diploma (DES or the equivalent) combined to a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
- Your experience in a call center and/or in a dispatching office is considered an asset;
- You must be computer proficient (Microsoft Office, etc.);
- Your French communication skills are excellent, both written and spoken;
- Your English communication skills are excellent, both written and spoken.

Additional information: The incumbent of this position must be willing and able to travel and work overtime, odd hours, weekends and various as required.
