General description of the job

In the Knowledge Management Team, this is a unique opportunity to participate in leading the definition of the future approach for Product Development Engineering in Bombardier Aerospace at the cutting edge of world class Product Development performance.

Tasks and responsibilities

As a part of the KM Team, you will contribute to the implementation and improvement of the Knowledge Management Strategy across the Engineering Community at Bombardier.

More specifically, you will be responsible for developing enterprise content management projects to enable efficient organization and management of documents and information shared internally for workforce productivity improvements and knowledge management purposes.

In your role, you will:

· Work closely across business communities in assessing / gathering enterprise content and information management requirements so we can better capture, manage, store, and deliver content and information that support collaboration, knowledge sharing and reuse.

· Facilitate requirements gathering sessions including design thinking workshops, conduct use case analysis, and assess usability.

· Collaborate with Knowledge Management Team to develop and implement policy, processes, and standards for effective knowledge organization, sharing and management.

· Monitor project initiatives key performance measures of success to ensure that ongoing benefits are realized.

· Support and trains business community in Knowledge Management processes and tools, including, but not limited to: Gap analysis, knowledge capture, knowledge sharing, content analysis, document management, workflow, succession plan, collaboration, and SharePoint.

As our ideal candidate,

· You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or Engineering, which preferably includes a few courses in Knowledge Management.

· An MBA or MSc (Master of Science) is considered an asset.

· You have a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in either Content Management, Knowledge Management, Business Analysis.

· You have work knowledge in content management systems, data/information architecture, experts systems, metadata management, and knowledge organization systems (e.g., ontologies and taxonomies).

· Specific knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 2013 and Web 2.0 technologies will be considered a strong asset.

· You are a great problem solver supported by a solid business acumen and a good sense of organizational culture.

· You have excellent organizational and management skills. You can handle project complexity as well as manage diverse stakeholders.

· You have strong customer facing capabilities and are able to work effectively with others and thrive in collaborative environments. You have solid facilitation skills and ability to moderate meetings is considered vital for this position.

· You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
