You will be part of the Product Development Engineering, Aerospace team where it all starts for Bombardier as it sets the stage to take full advantage of its investments and the tremendous growth potential of its new products. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft programs to their successful entry-into-service. Currently, these new products are the all-new CSeries commercial aircraft and the high-performance Global 7000/Global 8000 business jets.

In your role, you will:

- Support or lead preliminary System definition & sizing for Advanced Design studies
- Prepare / define systems specifications and requirements;
- Ensure requirements validation and management;
- Initiate and complete system and/or component design changes
- Assure integration and interface management of assigned systems and coordinate with internal groups & suppliers;
- Review and approve design documents such as vendor drawings, qualification and acceptance test procedures, qualification reports and certification documents;
- Support development, qualification and certification of the systems;
- Support system rig and ground/flight test activities as required;
- Prepare technical reports to show compliance to the applicable certification requirements.
- Support or lead Knowledge Domain activities, including knowledge capturing & sharing

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You possess as a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 10 or more years of relevant experience in Pneumatics, having a Master’s degree is an asset.
- You possess very good knowledge in Pneumatic Systems and their integration on the aircraft. You also have good knowledge of the Aircraft and Pneumatics interfacing systems.
- You possess strong New Product development expertise.
- You have good working knowledge of FAA, EASA, TCCA certification requirements, TCCA Design Approval Designee (DAD) status is an asset
- You possess good software application skills in Windows (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- You possess very good interpersonal and problem solving skills in order to interface with other teams and Suppliers, as well as good written and oral communication skills in English.
- You must be available to travel on short term assignments as required.
