Based in Montreal, Quebec, you will troubleshoots all railcar systems to properly identify all malfunctions. You will analyzes schematics, blueprints and modifications notices/charts to decide on the best course of action to solve various electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and electronic problems.

In your role you will:

- Troubleshoot & repair complex electro-mechanical and electronic systems to identify malfunctions;

- Analyses schematics and blueprints to address problems and failures within the electro-mechanical and electronic system, such as wiring for grounding, “misswires” and electrical component failures as well as irregularities with electronic components and faulty mechanical parts, etc.;

- Conducts necessary static and dynamic testing using electronic diagnostic equipment, uploads/upgrades operational software;

- Communicate with customer’s representatives, vendors and internal contacts to ensure proper transfer of information;

- Provide management with accurate and timely reporting;

- Follows all safety protocols and ensures that work is done in compliance with FRA, BTNA, and customer’s regulations;

- Other technical tasks as assigned to allow for on-time delivery and/or service of railcars.


As our ideal candidate:

- You possess a 3 year college diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent;
- You cumulate a minimum 2 years’ experience;
- Your experience in transit system design and applications;
- You must be computer proficient;
- Your French communication skills are excellent, both written and spoken;
- Your English communication skills are excellent, both written and spoken.

Additional information: The incumbent of this position must be willing and able to travel and work overtime, odd hours, weekends and various as required.
