You will have the following responsibilities:

Responsible for troubleshooting and fault detection of DMU mechanical systems, sub-systems and components including mechanical, pneumatic and auxiliary equipment. Expected to use a holistic approach in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures.

Perform scheduled and progressive maintenance inspections and unscheduled designated repairs.

Inspect equipment and complete repairs to ensure DMU(s) are properly prepared for service.

Perform modifications from drawings, prints or mechanical schematics on DMU(s)
Substitute electrical schematic reading with piping or air brake diagrams

Coach and mentor employees with on-the-job duties.

Provide Clerical staff information to generate service requests and work orders.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• •

• Grade 12, College degree or certification an asset.
• 2 to 4 years in a Railway or related industry
• Certificate or license in related field. Capable of using computers and computer control systems, Capable of reading and understanding mechanical drawings, maintenance manuals and piping schematics.
• Good English reading, writing and speaking skills required.
• Traveling off site to outpost locations for repairs. Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
