Based in Pittsburgh, PA, as a Field Engineer you will provide engineering field support to projects for investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving internal and external customer concerns related to mechanical and electrical issues. You will assist the site engineering teams and provide technical guidance to technicians and maintenance staff with identifying defects in equipment and systems for propulsion equipment. You will evaluate and confirm relevancy of issues toward warranty coverage and determine accountability for resolution.

In your role you will:

- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues of operational equipment;
- Recommend preventative and corrective system maintenance;
- Test, repair, and modify propulsion equipment;
- Assist with the preparation of bids and documentation for field engineering service activities;
- Support budgeting activities and estimate-to-complete reporting;
- Provide input regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and product enhancements.


As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline;
- You possess one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a technical or field service role;
- You are proficient working with Microsoft Office and other PC applications;
- You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
- You can operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;
- Your written and verbal English communication skills are good;
- You are able to lift forty to fifty (40-50) pounds unassisted;
- You demonstrate flexibility to work a variety of hours as business demands.

Travel Advisory: The incumbent in this position will be required to travel domestically and internationally as business demands (approximately 30-50%)
