As the Head of Finance- U.S., you will lead the finance organization and oversee Project and Site Controlling, as well as accounting and reporting activities. You will be responsible for management and statutory reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS. In this position, you will also be a member of the board of the legal entity with accountability for all U.S. finance activities. You will ensure compliance with all Bombardier policies and external regulations.

In your role you will:

- Implement financial strategy in accordance with global strategy;
- Establish a FP&A five (5) year strategy along with financial projections;
- Create standardization for country finance best practices;
- Produce statutory financial statements in accordance with Central Accounting Standards Manual (BAM) and U.S. GAAP and IFRS;
- Produce accurate and timely financial and management reports;
- Oversee financial risk;
- Review EAC related to Bombardier policies;
- Review and analyze variances between Budget, Forecast and Actual figures and comment on them in monthly Reporting – especially Sales POC, Margin and Free Cash flow, Risk & Opportunities and Contingencies;
- Provide resources to answer requests of Finance Business Partners & specific management reporting (ISC, RCS, Services, etc.);
- Review and analyse contract-related balance sheet items with the target of minimization of Net Utilized Assets (Inventory level, Advance Payments, Accounts Receivables, etc.);
- Plan order intake, sales and costs within project portfolios to ensure precise monitoring of business developments;
- Support the preparation of Capital Asset Acquisition Requests;
- Prepare business cases and conduct “make-or-buy” calculations.


As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; a MBA will be considered a strong asset as well as any professional certifications (e.g. CPA);
- You possess at least ten (10) years of financial leadership experience;
- You demonstrate expert-level knowledge with U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
- You demonstrate the ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;
- You possess critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
- Your English communication skills are excellent.

Additional information: The incumbent of this position must be available to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
