Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, you will support project management and serve as the primary point of contact for project set-up, maintenance and improvement initiatives, and cross-functional coordination for Bombardier’s execution and delivery of rail systems. In this role, you will add value to projects by creating clear and visible work paths that allow proper execution by all resources assigned to the projects as well as ensuring appropriate tools are identified, benchmarked, developed and deployed to support project processes for the implementation of the Bombardier Project Management System.

In your role you will:

- Serve as a liaison between the Project Management Office (PMO) and Project Managers
- Act as the key point of contact for all stakeholders in regards to all aspects of the project and interface with all functional groups to ensure clarity of the projects objectives, milestones, or other commitments;
- Conduct individual project launch meetings, consolidate results, monitor progress, and reporting results on assigned projects;
- Drive PMO initiatives and develop monthly and quarterly reports for Group and Systems management teams;
- Prepare and schedule APM AME Monthly Operations Review (MOR) and Group MOR meetings.
- Enter project updates into the Project Portfolio Reporting System (PPRS)
- Submit quarterly dashboard updates;
- Develop project-specific communication plan;
- Maintain and display Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for each project;
- Ensure project input into Lessons Learned are completed and input for all project phases.
- Communicate key schedule commitments and issues to team and coordinate logistics so key commitments can be met;
- Provide administrative support for meetings, record and publish minutes, update action items.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering;
- You possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a project support or project management role within transportation or a related field;
- You demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office and other internet applications;
- You have the ability to manage large amounts of information;
- You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;
- You can operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;
- You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
- Your written and verbal English communication skills are excellent.
