Based in Pittsburgh, PA, as a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will define system architecture and conceptualize designs for rail signaling projects. You will be responsible for developing, planning, and managing engineering requirements.

In your role you will:

- Define system architecture and design concepts;
- Lead system requirements gathering to ensure compliance with applicable standards;
- Identify, define, control and manage system interfaces, including electrical, civil and software;
- Support system integration activities;
- Lead system design reviews and provide technical leadership to internal and external customers;
- Develop and maintain a system description document;
- Provide guidance on improving system operational performance;
- Develop operational rules/principles for customers;
- Support project engineers with technical decisions;
- Support configuration management for the system through the whole project life-cycle;
- Ensure compliance with division and department processes.


As our ideal candidate:

- You possess a Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, or Computer engineering or related discipline; a Master's degree will be considered a strong asset;
- You possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a systems engineering, design or development role;
- Your knowledge of Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Operation (ATO) and Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) systems will be considered an asset;
- You demonstrate the ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;
- You possess critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
- You demonstrate excellent customer service skills;
- Your written and verbal English communication skills are excellent;
