As the System Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring performance and analysing data related to operational stability for monorail, mass transit, and automated people mover (APM) rail systems with driverless technology (CITYFLO650). The System Performance Engineer will translate data into actionable requirements, contribute to product development, and establish a methodology for benchmarking, performance improvement and KPI tracking.

In your role you will:

- Define relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the CITYFLO650 product;
- Define data capture and analysis methodologies and algorithms;
- Establish KPIs and analyse their evolution for existing systems;
- Lead root cause analysis for punctual or systematic failures as well as review fault reports issued for projects;
- Create requirements for the development of maintenance and analytical tools;
- Compare performance levels of CITYFLO650 against products from other suppliers (in cooperation with the Market Intelligence Engineer);
- Define performance requirements and improvement actions (in cooperation with the Solution/Product/Platform Architects;
- Approve performance plans for projects
- Analyze compliance matrixes for bids regarding performance requirements;
- Execute performance simulations.


As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Software, or Systems Engineering or related discipline; a Master’s Degree will be considered a strong asset;
- You possess five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in a similar performance-focused role;
- Familiarity with system design processes, data analysis (big data), and RAM modeling techniques will be a plus;
- Requirements and configuration management experience will be an asset;
- You demonstrate the ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;
- You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;
- You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You possess the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
- You demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Additional information: The person in this position must be able to travel domestically or internationally as required
