As the Technical Lead- Wayside Requirements, you will partner with cross-functional teams to plan and manage wayside requirements on complex, multi-disciplinary, rail signaling projects. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying technical requirements as well as task planning and releases for software products. You will provide input to project schedules, help identify risks, and communicate with project stakeholders.

In your role you will:

- Review requirements across projects and integrate, lead, and follow-up on project plans with engineering teams;
- Analyze software requirements to satisfy product, project, and safety requirements;
- Lead estimation and resource planning activities;
- Manage and input requirements into requirements management database (DOORS);

Produce requirements traceability and metrics reports;

- Follow-up on progress with Software Developers, Test Engineers, and System Engineers;
- Update stakeholders, identify issues and risks, as well as and plan for risk mitigations;
- Develop software using C, C#, C++, and/or Java;
- Participate in project design reviews;
- Assist in authoring product and project documents;
- Control and monitor internal and external deliverables to and from the work package;
- Track technical requirements to ensure schedule and quality of work are maintained.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer or Electrical Engineering; a MBA will be considered an asset;
- You possess approximately five (5) years of experience in a software engineering, product development, project lead and/or requirements management role;
- You possess the ability to program in C, C#, and/or C++ (JAVA development is a plus);
- You demonstrate expertise with generally accepted concepts and procedures for requirements management;
- You are familiar with DOORS;
- You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You possess the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
- You demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication skills.
