Rail Control Solutions (RCS) is Bombardier Transportation’s signaling division. RCS is focused on optimizing the flow of trains and delivering innovative signaling systems which enable the safe and efficient operation of rail networks and trains. Our RCS engineers develop and test automatic train control (ATC) software for rail vehicles or track (wayside) applications to deliver products, tools, and systems for driver-less train operation and control. The Test Lab Standardization Manager will have global responsibility for defining and implementing test lab set-ups, standard operating procedures and best practices across 10 RCS sites worldwide.

In your role you will:

- Collect lab requirements from development and test teams worldwide to define and implement lab standardization;
- Establish and define lab layout, installation, networking, and electrical requirements;
- Liaise and coordinate with global lab teams to execute standardization initiatives;
- Partner with health, safety, & environmental (HSE) to define safety requirements;
- Collaborate with information systems to ensure network infrastructure supports lab requirements;
- Generate deliverables and report KPIs to measure efficiency and quality;
- Support all phases of lab set-up, programming, and testing;
- Partner developers and testers to gather data and review current lab procedures;
- Complete all other duties as assigned.


As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; a Master’s degree will be considered an asset;
- You possess at least five (5) years of experience in a similar role;
- You have experience with software and hardware development and lab testing processes/procedures;
- You demonstrate a proven track record of successful project completion;
- You demonstrate knowledge of automated tools, programming languages and scripting languages;
- You demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office and other internet applications;
- You can operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;
- You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;
- You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You possess the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment
- Your written and verbal English communication skills are excellent.
