Our Plymouth site manufactures a range of railway signalling products for the UK and the global market with a portfolio including EBI Track train detection systems and associated test tools, EBI Light signals, European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) products and EBI Gate Level crossings including the latest Enhanced User Worker crossings technology.

We are currently looking to recruit a Methods Engineer, located in Plymouth, UK

Support for the execution of manufacturing processes, leading projects staffed with the appropriate experts to improve engineering, production and documentation processes. Projects may be related to any aspect of manufacturing and require the role holder to provide technical support as well as project management expertise.

• Provide project management expertise to support projects implemented to address problems or improvements of the manufacturing process.
• Ensuring that manufacturing process problems are identified, documented and investigated using the appropriate 6 sigma tools. Engage with appropriate support departments to ensure that permanent solutions are put in place.
• Utilise technical skills to support manufacturing processes.


• Degree in Engineering related subject.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
• Implementation of lean techniques, role holder will be required to lead manufacturing improvement teams and convince employees of the requirement of change.
• 6 sigma, TQM and lean problem solving techniques will need to be implemented.
• Cost reduction, quality improvement, manufacturing speed, flexibility and dependability.
• Must be able to communicate with colleagues at all levels describing complex technical descriptions to both engineering and non-engineering staff alike.
