At Bombardier, we provide maintenance services for supporting commuter rail fleets as well as operations and maintenance services for automated rail transit systems. Our network of fleet maintenance and service delivery sites include five transit agencies, and 11 airports.

Based in San Francisco, California at the San Francisco International Airport, the Operations & Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing exempt and non-exempt employees to ensure safe rail system operation.

In your role you will:

- Manage and direct the work force to build and maintain efficient and effective work teams compliant with customer contract and BT processes;
- Oversee the planning, development, and use of systems to report, manage and analyze system operations;
- Ensure timely completion of daily availability reports, System Recovery Reports, etc;
- Actively support the Safety Committee and all Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE) initiatives;
- Enforce all Company safety rules and promote a safety culture;
- Direct the development and administration of training programs for the enhancement of work team skills;
- Ensure employees are trained per applicable standards and adhere to rules in order to deliver safe/efficient system service;
- Create a challenging and supportive work environment that inspires safety, accountability, and teamwork;
- Demonstrate leadership with sound business ethics by consistently behaving in ways that are aligned with contractual obligations, Bombardier’s Core Values and Corporate & Organizational goals.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold an Associate’s degree in Business Management or technical discipline; a Bachelor’s degree would be considered an asset;
- You possess at least five (5) years of relevant supervisory experience in an operations/maintenance a service-delivery role;
- Your knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic &/or hydraulic systems will be an asset;
- You possess strong leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills;
- You demonstrate the ability to interpret financial and performance data;
- You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
- You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;
- You can operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;
- Your written and verbal English communication skills are excellent;
- You demonstrate flexibility to work a variety of hours as business demands, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
