We are currently looking to recruit a Bid Manager (m/f) for our team based in Siegen.

Your tasks

- Mobilizes the bid team to find optimal way to win the order while ensuring ability to execute.
- Optimising competitiveness while mitigating risks.
- Leads the bid team in the successful completion of their assigned tasks within schedule, allocated budgets and scope to the required quality. Ensures on-time delivery and optimised quality of all deliverables of the team.
- Structures and organizes the task oriented bid team, responsible for adequate communication with the other sub-teams and commercial /internal partners, in case of disagreement, escalates issues to Management.
- Ensures the bid strategy is in line with areas outside own division and overall impact on BT.
- Co-runs kick off meeting to ensure the bid strategy is understood by all stakeholders.
- In response to the customer requirements, ensures a cost effective and competitive offer is prepared, including the right product selection, technical support as well as taking all commercial, financial and legal aspects into account.
- Manages the bid schedule, budget and process, regular reporting to management. Manages the cost optimisation phases, oversees production of benchmarks and financial cost input.
- Responsible to manage and control the bid budget, to mitigate or escalate when signals of overspending occur.
- Ensures the bid is accurately documented and stored with all the required details and input that contributes to producing internal ISC Scope Document and financial cost submission.
- Submits as bid and as sold ISC Scope Documents for approval, attends all review meetings and sees to it that bid governance rules are respected.
- Responsible for transferring all material and bid phase knowledge to the project execution team, bringing the execution team up to speed on the project and ensuring adequate support from the bid team for the execution team during the execution phase launch process.


- Bachelor of Engineering or Business Administration or Finance or Legal and experience in an international environment, working in multi-disciplined teams.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with minimum 2 years cross-border team management e.g. in Project Management, Project Controlling or International Cross Site and/or Cross Functional projects including financial and legal tasks.
- Excellent communicative and commercial skills.
- A high level of competency with Microsoft Office related programs, excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
- High level of flexibility
- Fluent English, German an advantage
- Willingness to travel required
