Material & Work Planner

In your role, you will

• Analyze and interpret the various purchase requisitions in order to request bids from external suppliers;
• Analyze various supplier bids and prepare purchase orders for materials, equipment and other items;
• Establish and maintain good commercial and contractual relationships with strategic suppliers;
• Consult and support the technical team as needed in the evaluation of supplier selection;
• Identify, analyze and materialize cost reduction opportunities;
• Provide support to the various sites for all types of purchasing requests;
• Ensure rigorous follow-up of each request to meet agreed deadlines;
• Receive items and approve invoices;
• Participate in project review and adequately maintain project performance indicators based on material ordered;
• Interact with several multi-functional teams (Production, Procurement, Methods, Finance, Manufacturing);
• Support the integration of new tools into Bombardier's manufacturing system;
• Create and update purchasing plans in the appropriate tools;

As our ideal candidate

• You have experience in materials management or purchasing management
• You have experience or knowledge of SAP, Maximo and Ariba an asset
• You have the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings an asset 
• You have a strong sense of ethics and are customer focused
• You have good analytical, planning, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are essential
• You are fluent in French and have a good knowledge of English.
