Based in St. Bruno, Quebec, you will be will play an advisory role and will review, redesign and interpret Pension & Benefits US programs, plans and policies to ensure compliance and market competitiveness. You will oversee yearly open enrollment activities and act as the vendor manager with external providers. Finally, you will ensure compliance to legislations, validate accuracy of information provided to auditors and support bargaining negotiations with unions in US.

In your role you will:

- Review, redesign and interpret US Pension & Benefits programs, plans and policies to ensure compliance and market competitiveness;
- Play an advisory role with the HR Community and act as technical expert within the team;
- Oversee yearly open enrollment activities including rates renewal, communications, system changes, testing, documentation, etc;
- With the support of Procurement, Center of Expertsie and the Pension & Benefits Team Lead, act as the Vendor Manager with external providers (benefits and benefits administrators, insurance companies);
- Ensure compliance to legislations including filings to governmental entities;
- Ensure that information provided to internal and external auditors by the Pension & Benefits specialist is accurate;
- Support bargaining negotiations in US (analysis, benchmark, interaction with external providers, recommendation);
- Support during bid process in US.


As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management or Actuarial Science;
- You possess five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in US pension and benefits;
- You own knowledge of US Pension and Benefits market and best practices;
- Your knowledge of the Canadian pension and benefits market would be considered as an asset;
- You have the ability to deal with different suppliers for each aspect of the group plan (medical, dental, etc);
- You have the ability to work independently to resolve issues and develop proposals and/or communication documents;
- You are a detail-oriented person;
- You prioritize quality and you like challenges;
- You posses excellent analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills;
- You are flexible and can adapt to change;
- You are customer service oriented;
- You are a team player;
- Your English and French communication skills are excellent, both written and spoken.
