For our RCS Division in Stockholm, we are currently looking to recruit a Software Developer (m/f)!

Purpose of the job

We are looking for a passionate and motivated C++ developer to strengthen our team of Tools development. The Tools team comprises of dynamic, talented developers and provides the simulation software for our safety-critical On-board system installed on high speed trains.

Are you an advanced C++ developer skilled in using technologies such as C++11, networking, multithreading, OOP Patterns in mixed Windows/Linux environments? Do you thrive to work at the intersection of technologies between the embedded engineering world and a PC environment? Are you ready to work in a constantly evolving Agile environment? You will have great fun while developing The On-board Test Environment which is a train and track simulator used for simulating the surroundings of the On-board signalling system. The simulator is developed in C++ using Eclipse. There will also be great opportunities to work with the other environments and in C# using Visual Studio and .NET.

Key responsibilities:

- To develop and maintain features in the simulation environment for embedded safety-critical software.
- Collaborate with colleagues located both on site as well as remotely.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Relevant previous experience (minimum 2 to 5 years).
- Advanced knowledge of C++ and OOP.
- Understanding of basic algorithms and data structures.
- Knowledge of Networking (TCP/IP) and multithreading.
- Good knowledge of Linux and GCC/make environment is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of C# (Visual Studio and .NET is an advantage).
- Previous experience working with tools, simulators and automated testing are highly valued.
- Fluent English language knowledge.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, strategic and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven, proactive person.
