We are looking for a Manager, TCMS Visualization Development Center

The position will be located in Västerås, Sweden, within our business unit Rolling Stock Equipment - TCMS, working at our site for development centrally located in Västerås.

Your Role

The role will include management of own staff, as well as management and collaboration with suppliers/partners and our engineering team in India. You will ensure the unit successfully develops and maintains components on time, budget and with quality. You will lead, guide and develop people, as well as building competence areas according to TCMS components strategy. Develop, simplify and improve related TCMS product development processes according to the TCMS component development strategy.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and maintain a required range of engineering competencies in relation to the TCMS Components strategy in software requirements, architecture & design processes and implementation. This includes the development, coordination, and training as well as performance management of all employees.
- Manage and improve collaboration with sub-suppliers and our engineering team in India
- Efficient and effective management of all employees within the development team by clear objectives and by role & task assignments. Ensuring that capacity, skills and workload are in a sound balance.
- Continuous optimization of the component engineering processes, tools, methods and technics by taking into account business requirements, customer needs, technical innovations and new market conditions
- Support and review estimations and risk in development projects, assist and participate in pre-studies on development strategies and establishing strategic partnerships.


Experience and Qualifications

- University degree in Software Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience
- 3 years of Management experience
- Experience of Software development, Sub-supplier Management, India collaboration, and project management
- Experience of Agile methods, real-time systems, process development
- People management skills,
- Structured and analytical,
- High level of communication, documentation and writing skills
- High level of initiative and dedication
- International experience
- Knowledge of Railway rolling stock requirements and relevant standards
- Fluency in English, Swedish is an added value.
