We are seeking applications for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in West Melbourne depot. Reporting to the Vehicle Superintendent, the successful candidate will be required to provide overall management of maintenance work at the West Melbourne Maintenance facility and Southern Cross Station with the aim of ensuring efficient overall running of the fleet.

Your key responsibilities will include the following:

Oversee the organization, direction, training and supervision of the workforce to perform maintenance operations in accordance with work instructions, schedules and quality requirements.

Oversee the coordination of plant, equipment and tools to meet facility load requirements.

Identify opportunities for improvements in maintenance process.

Interface and cooperate with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the maintenance facility.

Ensure maintenance workforce is compliant with EH & S policies and ensure accident reporting is done efficiently and completely.

Address escalated issues.

Customer liaison regarding maintenance performance, vehicle condition and availability.

Compile and report against measurements illustrating the areas performance.

Qualifications

It is expected you will have the following qualifications, experience and personal characteristics:

Qualified in relevant trade - Mechanical/Electrical

-
8 years’ minimum experience in rollingstock maintenance environment

Demonstrated experience in fault finding

-
Supervisory experience

-
Intermediate Computer skills
