In your role, you will:

Act as the lead within BFTC Project Engineering for Business Unit Project Offices in regards to Project Management at BFTC. This responsibility covers all test activities at BFTC, whether aircraft or rig, and includes initiation, planning, execution, control and closure of tasks. Ensure effective use of Project Management team principles and practices in the conduct of the Business Unit's Statement of Work by establishing and communicating clear, effective, achievable project plans. Act as the Business Unit's advocate within BFTC while also acting as a liaison between BFTC and the Business Unit.

- Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements
- Lead team meetings and communicate daily Business Unit priorities for all tasks on multiple aircraft
- Communicate status of multiple tasks and/or programs to the team and Business Unit.
- Serve as primary point of contact for all tasks on multiple airframes
- Develop a yearly budget and subsequent operating plans for multiple programs
- Prepare for and deliver monthly project reviews for multiple, large programs to Senior BFTC and Business Unit Management
- Manage and harmonize medium and long term project plans on multiple aircraft or rigs
- Interface with vendors at an engineering project management level
- Provide financial performance analysis to Business Unit for typically multiple programs
- Update Bombardier Engineering System (BES) (BM8060) manuals to reflect best practices
- Provide guidance & support to other Project Engineering staff in the execution of their tasks

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you will meet the following requirements:

- 8 years Project Management experience with a Bachelors degree in Business Management, Finance or related field
- Six Sigma Analyst
- Certified Associate membership of PMI (Program Management Institute) or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of cost accounting and estimating practices
- Thorough knowledge of Flight Test procedures
- Thorough knowledge of Project Management principles
- Thorough knowledge of Aircraft Certification Requirements (Part 25)
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems
- Thorough knowledge of Bombardier Engineering System (BES)
- Thorough knowledge of BFTC (Bombardier Flight Test Center) processes
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Thorough knowledge of estimating guidelines
- Strong organizational & time management skills to support multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and lead teams
- Strong communication skills to ensure clear consistent and timely information sharing within the team and across functional areas
- Strong presentation skills to provide effective governance information to the project team and to Management
- Strong analytical skills necessary to identify issues and propose effective solutions
- Strong writing skills to clearly summarize issues, action plans and status
- Strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills necessary to support team members in the completion of their tasks.
- Highly developed ability to multitask, work well under pressure and pay attention to detail

Additional desired qualifications:

- A&P License
- Project Management Professional accreditation from PMI
- Previous leadership experience in a flight test engineering environment
- LIA (Leadership In Action) graduate
