In your role, you will:

Perform cost, general, and program accounting functions as well as provide finance support to assigned business units and for internal/external audits. May be responsible for performing financial analyses including ROI, cost-benefit, modeling, and business development opportunities.

• Assist with developing budgets and analyzing variances for labor, overhead, and headcount
• Assist with financial analysis projects for assigned business unit(s), for example, return-on-investment and purchase vs. lease analysis
• Review, reconcile, and verify accuracy of system values for raw material and cycle counting
• Record all transactions related to aircraft contracts as needed
• Perform bank account reconciliation for all entries and serve as primary contact
• Perform basic to moderate account analysis, for example, sales tax, bank reconciliation for small accounts, and inventory for stock room accounts
• Assist in the coordination and completion of internal and external audits of the Company
• Assist with collecting documentation to internal/external audits
• Administer capital budget and monitor actual versus budget variances on a monthly basis
• Prepare capital and inventory elements of monthly forecasts
• Perform fixed asset reporting including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation
• Analyze, reconcile, and prepare elements of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other formal financial reports on a scheduled basis
• Assist with preparation of monthly financials
• Prepare work papers and accruals for month end.
• Prepare and post journal entries, for example payroll & fringe, inter-company, fixed assets, aircraft transactions, and cash to general ledger
• Perform payroll and fringe accounting journal entries and analysis
• Perform & coordinate invoicing and billing process for customers and vendors

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,
• You have a minimum of 2 years accounting or financial analyst experience
• You hold a Bachelors in Accounting
• You have interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas, and governmental agencies
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills
• You have planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments
• You have computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and internet-based applications and accounting systems
• You have analytical and judgment skills necessary to evaluate, interpret, and reconcile accounting data according to company and departmental procedures
• You have basic knowledge of U.S. General Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• You have basic knowledge of accounting procedures and concepts, for example, general ledger, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
• You have a CPA – preferred
• You have an MBA - preferred
