Structural Design Engineer, Bids and Proposals - Bombardier Defense

In your role, you will

• Develop high-level concepts and layouts to support initial bids and talks with potential customers. 
• Design and release special missions engineering structural and systems installations to support Defense programs. 
• Author and approve technical memos to customers. 
• Support face-to-face meetings with customers. 
• Identify risks and certification issues with potential new programs. 
• Prepare engineering manpower and schedule estimates to support new bids. 
• Write, review, and comment on potential statements of work.

As our ideal candidate

• You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited University.  
• You must have a minimum of 15 years industry experience 
• Per US ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) Requirements, must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder). 
• Experience in Special Missions or Aftermarket modifications is required. 
• Experience supporting manufacturing and aircraft modifications is required. 
• Experience of leading a team of engineers is required. 
• You must have a minimum of 6,000 hours on CATIA V5. 
• Proficient in CATIA V5 Workbenches: Assembly Design, Part Design (Boolean Operations), Aerospace Sheetmetal, Tubing Design, Kinematics and Electrical Harness Routing are a plus. 
• Experience in ENOVIA LCA is a plus. 
• Experience in Teamcenter PLM is a plus. 
• You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• You must be a highly motivated, self-starter. 
• You must have proficiency with MS Office tools, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. All other computer systems and software are a plus.
