Based in Baltimore, Maryland, you will support the rail facility in manpower planning/recruitment, labor and employee relations, organizational development, succession planning, performance management, and shared services in support of company strategic business objectives.

In your role you will:

- Review and coordinate the company employment, with a strong emphasis on employee and labor relations;
- Serve as the primary focal point for actions and interpretation of nine local Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), provides assistance and advice to supervisors and managers in executing work via the CBA, and interacts with employees and the designated Union representatives;
- Able to build positive rapport with union representatives and represented employees to foster a collegial and collaborative working environment. Execute all work in compliance with applicable regulations, laws, standards, codes, directives, required permits, and contracts. Comply with all reporting requirements;
- Coordinate the Performance Management Process;
- Able to build solid business case to influence leadership actions and decisions;
- Able to coach leadership towards positive employee relations;
- Oversee employment activities, assuring that properly qualified employees are recruited and hired;
- Maintain Drug and Alcohol Program, pre-employment and post offer testing;
- Oversee all ISO audit, insure compliance to Bombardier Transportation Human Resources Manual and site policies/Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations;
- Ensure the development and implementation of training programs which support company business objectives;
- Collaborate with other Bombardier sites across North America on special projects.

You will have the opportunity to work with the HR Manager and Director to partner with key leaders in the organization to align HR practices with current and future business needs.


As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
- You possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
- You have background in Labor Relations, knowledge of the negotiation process and writing CBAs;
- You have experience in managing the grievance process and serving as company focal point in grievance activities;
- Your experience in the railroad/transportation industry or knowledge of the Railway Labor Act would considered as an asset.
- You have excellent English communication skills both written and spoken.
