We are currently looking to recruit for a Advisor, Graphic Design & Communications (m/f)

at our location in Berlin

With a Degree in Graphic Design, the Advisor, Communications and Graphic Design, will create high quality marketing and communications materials for external and internal audiences, including researching, planning, designing, approval process, distributing and maintaining.

The Advisor will also be a guardian of the visual identity (brand image and corporate style), responsible for enforcing the brand guidelines and further developing brand recognition and awareness to protect and maintain the image of the Bombardier Transportation brand as well as its product and solutions brands.

This includes the creation of visually compelling concepts, presentations, brochures, datasheets, advertisements, event artwork, social media content, graphics, infographics and other marketing tools and channels, to effectively convey the strengths of the company and its products, solutions and services.

In this role, the job holder will provide graphic design consultancy from the initial conception of an idea through to print ready/deliverable artwork and bring a creative edge to BT’s communications. It will be necessary to manage several projects at a time and bring creative and innovation skills to define design briefs within the constraints of cost and time.

Strong creative skills, concern for accuracy, good written English, and sensitivity with confidential information are all essential. German languages skills are helpful.


Graphic design for marketing communications:

• Beginning-to-end graphic design service to deliver creative, high-quality communications and marketing materials in full compliance with the BT visual identity (includes strategy, researching, planning, designing, copywriting, approval process, distributing and maintaining)

• Brand guardian: reach ‘expert status’ in BT´s Visual Identity guidelines, carry out surveillance and request corrective actions to ensure correct usage of the VI and consistent brand appearance externally and internally

• For brochures and datasheets: designing, editing, liaising with communications colleagues for fact checking/approval, and publishing

• For advert creation: contribute to the strategy/message development, design, write/edit copy, design and deliver final artwork ready for publication

• For PowerPoint presentations: produce/update new product presentations, provide graphics support and review content of produced by others to ensure consistency

• For tradeshows, exhibitions and events: design and supply artwork for exhibition stands, produce invitation designs and other collaterals needed for events

• For digital media: support the growth of social and digital/interactive media by providing creative infographics, graphics, tweets, as well as new concepts and ideas for these fast-growing channels

• For product renderings and collages: production and editing

• For internal communications: creative support to develop imagery, graphics and infographics to support BT’s internal campaigns (posters, leaflets, digital, etc.)

• Work as part of a team to brief and collaborate with external agencies on projects as required

• Management of BT´s Multimedia Database.


• Degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent qualification) and a keen interest in marketing/product promotion
• Graduate with a minimum of two years’ graphic design work experience gained in a B2B environment (industry or agency)
• Advanced user in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop required as well as Microsoft Windows and Office products
• Copywriting skills in English language, strong editorial and proofreading abilities
• Select an appropriate design solution for the task and execute the project to the satisfaction of the stakeholders
• Prioritize a high volume of work to meet tight deadlines
• Coordinate with other team members to prioritize and ensure standardization
• General understanding of B2B marketing, product positioning and an awareness of the rail industry
• Produces high quality marketing collaterals to promote BT’s products, solutions and services in order to support positive interactions between sales and customers as well as to build the BT brand externally
• Knowledge of social media/digital marketing is an advantage and so are skills in photography and videography
• Able to demonstrate artistic ability and creativity
• Accuracy and attention to detail is essential
• Excellent planning and organization skills with the ability/flexibility to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Team player but able to use initiative and work independently as required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills / sensitive to confidentiality
• Hands-on approach, self-motivated, flexible and able to progress and prioritize a high volume of work to meet tight deadlines
• Fluent English is a requirement plus and fluency in German is an advantage. Available and willing to travel (up to 20%)
