About the role:

Working as a key member of the global Product Engine organisation (PRS), the role holder would have 3 main areas of responsibility:

1. Implementing the best in class planning standards in PRS organisation globally. This would include: establishment, deployment and continuous maintenance of PRS planning standard policies, processes and templates (Level 1 & Level 2 schedules, WBS, resource & capacity planning, standard deliverable).

2. Leadership of the planning and performance management community in the PRS organisation. Development of the PRS planning community to the best standards in planning techniques, management and leadership.

3. PRS planning governance and alignment with the Group Project Management


• Master Level (engineering or Business Administration)
• Project Management qualification (PMP, Prince 2) is an asset

Relevant experience required:
• extensive experience in complex projects (experience on projects of similar scale & proven track record (e.g. PMP)
• Working experience either in Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Procurement, Bids, Sales, or Finance
• Knowledge of Primavera Software
• Previous experience in Rolling Stock/Systems/Signalling/Safety critical systems development department is an asset

• Knowledge of “system engineering” design methodology (including V&V/ V cycle principles) is an asset
• International experience and multi-cultural awareness.
• Proven experience of having successfully operated in a matrix / multi-disciplinary
• experience of supporting robust and practical succession plans

• Able to evidence liaising at executive/management level in order to leverage expertise, resource and support from the wider business and able to balance conflicting pressures & priorities
• Track record of building high performing teams.
• Business astute and able to shape and create value propositions to influence and meet Product QTC targets
• influencing skills, well-honed emotional intelligence and an ability to network and build strong relationships at all levels across the organisation
