About the Role:

As a Senior Supply Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and driving the deployment of our New build and Service support sourcing strategies for Variation Orders, working closely together with the Regional Buyers and Global Commodity Management. To sustainable contribute in optimizing the TCO of our products through our unique innovative, best in class supply chain and Supplier Relationship Management.

Tracking supplier’s performance and support them in target performance achievement.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Negotiate and Manage New Build and Maintenance Service contracts with supplier for the upgrade of QNGR Accessibility Variation Project and QNGR Signalling System to ETCS (European Train Control System).

- Assist in the efficient procurement and management of suppliers and sub-contractors from commencement of the tender process (White Book) to contract completion
- Lead all negotiations with suppliers or sub-contractors with participation of the appropriate functions
- Prepare sub-contract documentation, including tender and contract documents
- Support major claim processes

2. Support material cost controlling

- Strong financial discipline and Governance to control material spend, particularly on the multimillion-dollar ETCS variation
- Follow-up material cost vs. budget on commodity and project level including potential risks and opportunities (TAC monitoring), particularly on the multimillion-dollar ETCS variation

3. Manage material cost reduction activities

- Create purchasing leverage and gain from synergies with group and other divisions
- Category benchmark and intelligence
- Formulation of category strategies and set targets
- Prepare & Present category presentations
- Support when needed, on other categories
- Implement total cost reduction

Qualifications

Key Requirements:

- MBA, BA, Engineering degree or equivalent
- Good experience in purchasing or purchasing related role, including minimum 2 years in strategic sourcing
- Excellent knowledge about general terms and conditions and contract management
- Project management skills
- Experience in the railway industry and particularly on Electronic, Software, signalling systems is highly valued
