PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The PMO Manager establishes and monitors the governance model for the project in line with BT standards. The position works closely not only with the project team but also with EMEAI/Group PMO to ensure seamless flow of information and updates upstream, compliance with ad hoc requests for progress or reviews, and is directly end to end accountable for processes like Gate Reviews and audits, Risk and Opportunity Management, Milestone Management throughout the project lifecycle. And across all functions/divisions of BT comprising the PCT. The position will also require representation of the project to group reviews directly relevant to internal governance should the PD/DPD not be available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Hire and OnBoard the PMO team (all direct reports). Ensure minimum turnover, establish training requirements and personal development of team.

End accountable for Gate Review/Audit/ROP/ Milestone Management Process application. Draft and publish all relevant processes if none exists already.

Responsible for communicating group requirements to the PCT and follow up/hold PCT accountable for project compliance to BT directives/processes

Lead meetings related to PMO topics (as above)

Represent the project in group PMO initiatives / reviews

Manage the deployment of initiatives and pilot programmes from Group

Where applicable, challenge Group PM/PMO on reporting and governance and proactively and in a constructive manner contribute to BT Governance model.

Establish and maintain any internal contacts / external contacts, needed to perform the duties.

Compliance with Corporate QHS&E standards

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering;

-
Experience in PMO role

-
Leadership experience.
