As a Bid Engineer Electricals, you will be part of the Electrical, wiring and interconnected systems (EWIS) team and you will be responsible to prepare the input for a given product family to bids and to coordinate, drive and consolidate the data from all Rolling Stock Equipment (ROQ) Electricals functions.

You will be in charge to benchmark the offering with previous bids and projects to ensure a competitive bid is prepared in time and. You can influence the selection of cost efficient solutions by continuous communication and interaction with the bid teams in different Product Engines. You will have a global responsibility and will work closely with the Bid Engineer manager in preparing the bid documents and defending the proposal.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Gather the inputs, requirements, cost targets and estimations and support needed to deliver the required bid commitments for a given product family to satisfy customer requirements while adhering to standardization, re-use, bid budgets and schedules

- Interface to ROQ Bids, supplying timely input including financials, schedule and technical descriptions

- Consolidate the bid input from all EWIS functions and challenge the teams when the targets are not met

- Develop the inputs for the product family under responsibility to build up the data base with reference projects to allow benchmarking, creating the product graphs (KVP, Key Value Parameters) and fast and cost-efficient response to bids

- Obtain competitor insight and benchmark figures for comparable product.

Qualifications

Key requirements:

• Bachelor degree preferably in Electrical Engineering;

• Up to 5 years of relevant experience in railway industry or similar industries (e.g. automotive);

• Experience in areas such as Systems Engineering, Concept Design and Architecture, Requirement Management, Functional Analysis, Testing and Commissioning;

• Knowledge related to the production of electrical panels, cabinets, wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies;

• Knowledge or experience in electrical product development from bid to product introduction (through all project delivery phases) would be an asset;

• Capability to work in an international environment and in multi-cultural teams;

• Open minded, flexible;

• Solid user experience of MS office

• Fluency in English is essential

• Availability to travel for business purposes
