As a Electrical System Engineer, you will be part of the Electrical, wiring and interconnected systems(EWIS) team, and you will have a global responsibility to define (appropriate power ratings, cross sections) and select components in the product families developments and project to ensure that the strategy and objectives for using standard parts is materialised.

You will need to ensure that the standard components cover the needs in all regions and are most cost efficient for their purpose and have a global availability on the market to ensure

Your responsibilities will include:

- Drive the standardization of components in EWIS scope of supply and where applicable also in Propulsion (PPC) and Rail Control Solutions (RCS). This is done in close relationship with Procurement and supplier/partners.
- Build and maintain the standard part library for use in all applications and ensure the organisation adherence to the standard part catalogue.
- Selects the EWIS components in off and on-cycle project developments ensuring requirements are met (RAMS, power ratings, cross sections, cost, weight, space) and the project and standardization objectives are achieved
- Support cost improvement initiatives, implements reliability and quality feedback into the solutions by collecting information from the field.


Key requirements:

- Bachelor`s degree preferably in Electrical Engineering
- Up to 5 years of experience in the field of electrical engineering in railway industry or similar industries (e.g. automotive)
- Experience in areas such as Systems Engineering, Concept Design and Architecture, Requirement Management, Functional Analysis, Testing and Commissioning;
- Knowledge related to the production of electrical panels, cabinets, wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies;
- Knowledge or experience in electrical product development from bid to product introduction (through all project delivery phases) would be an asset;
- Capability to work in an international environment and in multi-cultural teams;
- Open minded, flexible;
- Solid user experience of MS office
- Fluency in English is essential
- Availability to travel for business purposes
