About the role

The Obsolescence Management Project Engineer is responsible to ensure obsolescence management activity on our current Rolling Stock Contracts and on Services Contracts.

Your Tasks

• You will be in charge of obsolescence monitoring, and will support Project Managers on Rolling Stock and Services contracts to ensure obsolescence management for our customers.

• You will ensure the obsolescence topic mapping on our several fleets in contract, and you will work in collaboration with our Procurement, Project Management and Engineering ILS department in order to manage those issues.

• You will drive customer meetings on obsolescence topics, with support of Project Management function, to report on our identifications of obsolescence cases and on our preventive and corrective solutions to put in place to allow the maintenance of Rolling Stock which are operated from our customers.

• You will bring a support to the Sales Department and Project Managers to build Obsolescence care package technical & commercial offers.

• You will build strong partnership with our suppliers and other Bombardier Transportation worldwide entities to support this activity in France Benelux Maghreb region.


• Master degree in a Electronical/ Electrical Engineering;

• Previous experience in a relevant role, ideally in transportation industry (railway, automotive, aerospace etc.) or a similar technical/engineering industry;

• Capabilities to analyse and understand electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings, and to analyse Rolling Stock contractual requirements;

• Ability to travel for customer / supplier meetings;

• Language skills: English and France at advanced/business fluent level is mandatory.
