Purpose of the role:

The Project Manager acts within the boundaries of the contracts to deliver the targeted margin to Bombardier. To this effect, the Project Manager leads key areas according to the stage of the project. The Project Manager will continually focus on a pro-active management that the functions keep their delegated budgets, meet their schedules and deliver on their obligation. He/she has to ensure that all designated function members have sufficient financial and reporting governance and to ensure all risks and opportunities are properly addressed and mitigated.

Key responsibilities:

1. Functional duties to the Project Core Team

- Responsible for the WBS, Detailed Projects Schedule, JDDP, Customer Interface, Projects Risk, Opportunity and Improvement Management, Project Launch (including the Orange Book), Change Management and Contractual Obligation Management, Budget allocation and monitoring, Projects Reporting internally both status and financial performance.

2. Leadership duties within the Project Core Team

- Has the authority and the obligation to review the effort of the Project Function members and to give directives related to the project execution, as such will be involved in the PMP objective setting process for all Project Function Team members

- Defines and secures the support of the business partners and extended project team

- He/she is responsible for management of all communication with the Customer

- Leads the Project Organisations effort to meet periodic financial targets

- Adapts his/her leadership and motivational skills to the project, the team or individual's capabilities and knowledge, the time and tools available and the results desired.

- Develops “must do” strategies to increase team effectiveness and the belief that "none of us is as good as all of us." in order to help the team go through the distinct stages of ‘forming, storming, norming and performing’.

3. Specific responsibilities to other Project Core Team roles

- Promotes and respects HSE rules over the different customer’ sites

- Manages customer expectation in accordance to the warranty exit management plan

- Defines and implements the best strategy to reduce the warranty exit cost

- Manages a multi-disciplinary team to ensure respect of the Quality-Time-Cost targets

- Organizes and leads all meetings with the customer


- Engineering degree (BAC+5), experience in electrical engineering

- 3-5 years of experience in a relevant role

- Extensive Project Management skills & experience including technical knowledge

- Experience in TCMS electrical is a big advantage

- International experience is a plus

- Language skills: French – advanced, English – professional. Dutch is a plus.
