About the role:

Description Project Manager:

The Project Manager has the responsibility to deliver the object of the contract to the customer and to deliver the targeted margin to Bombardier. He/she leads key areas according to the stage of the project, in order to ensure the successful completion of their assigned tasks within schedule, allocated budgets and scope to the required quality.

The Project Manager will continually focus on a pro-active management that the functions keep their delegated budgets, meet their schedules and deliver on their obligation. He/she is responsible to apply the key Project Management Processes and the applicable tools for the implementation, and is accountable for the strict and efficient application thereof.

The Project Manager has to ensure that all designated function members have sufficient financial and reporting governance and to ensure all risks and opportunities are properly addressed and mitigated.

Key responsibilities:

1. Functional duties to the Project Core Team:

-
Responsible for the WBS, Detailed Project Schedule, JDDP, Customer Interface, Project Risk, Opportunity and Improvement Management, Project Launch (including the Orange Book), Change Management and Contractual Obligation Management, Budget allocation and monitoring, Project Reporting internally both status and financial performance;

Responsible to be primary contact to divisional Project Management Office. In larger projects, this could be delegated as a separate role.

2. Leadership duties within the Project Core Team:

Reviews the effort of the Project Function members and gives directives related to the project execution; will be involved in the PMP objective setting process for all Project Function Team members;

Defines and secures the support of the business partners and extended project team;

Is responsible for management of all communication with the Customer;

Leads the Project Organisations effort to meet periodic financial targets;

Adapts his/her leadership and motivational skills to the project, time and tools available and the results desired.

Qualifications

-
Master’s degree, preferably engineering oriented;

-
Typically 5 to 10 years of experience in the railway field

-
Technical experience is key to the role, plus experience in project management or operations

-
Financial, Legal, Procurement experience represent a plus

-
TCMS experience is a plus

-
Proven performance (i.e. PMP, 360° feedback).

International experience is a plus

-
Language skills: French – advanced, English – professional.
