We are currently looking to recruit a Software Assessor (m/f) for our sites in Crespin, France or Derby, UK.

About the role:

The primary purpose of the Software Assessor is to provide & support Software Assessments in specific projects relating to rail safety, on a global basis.

- Responsible for Software Assessments in all geographical regions.

- Accountable for ensuring compliance of Software Assessment projects with the Quality Management requirements of ISAC.

- Manage and provide all project resources, support team-lead in resource development.

- Manage relationships with official partners.

- Reporting, KPIs, Scheduling.

- Influence Standards and accreditation/notification schemes in official networks outside Bombardier Transportation with respect to Software.


- University degree or equivalent in engineering, information engineering, electrical engineering, alternatively: qualified long-term experience in the railway domain, e.g. railway operation.

- At least five years of work experience as SW-expert or SW-assessor.
- Knowledge of the regulative framework EN 50128, is a must, preferably experience in EN 50657 as well.
- Knowledge of EN50126/50129, IEC 61508 and the CSM-regulation are a plus.
