The Production Supervisor aligns and supports the production teams and enables them to perform in accordance with overall goals and targets, especially in terms of safety, productivity, quality and cost. Furthermore, the Production Supervisor ensures standardized work and engages open bi-directional communication, team empowerment and best practice shared across teams.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Identify the risk assessments on activities and ensure that the prevention of accidents and injuries is integrated into all aspects of the occupational environment;
• Provide detailed action plans for safety improvements;
• Maintain quality control within company quality and contractual guidelines;
• Evaluate and improve methods on a continuing basis;
• Support problem resolution process and provide detailed daily and/or weekly reports regarding production problems, shortages, hours;
• Assign work crews to maximize production within budget guidelines and set daily production priorities;
• Anticipate needs for parts/materials/tools and follow up to ensure availability when required;
• Liaise regularly with upstream and downstream workstations, Methods, Engineering and other departments, to ensure coordination of tasks/activities;
• Validate with Planning appropriate production sequence and manpower for tasks required in station/area;
• Encourage team work and empowerment of production employees;
• Promote training for improving/increasing skills within the team.


Key requirements:
• Strong experience in a Manufacturing environment at a managerial role;
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, documents, IT-systems;
• Good and sound understanding of basic concepts and procedures in own discipline;
• The ability of working mainly independently through the application of acquired knowledge, precedent and judgment based upon standard procedures;
• Being able to develop and train team members and provide employee performance evaluations;
• Problem solving skills; analyzing possible solutions using acquired experience and judgment & applying existing guidelines (Uses key PPS tools and techniques (8D, 5 WHYS, APQP), desirable);
• The ability to identify key skill shortages, sharing of knowledge and to be able to identify and deliver a clear demographic strategy for own area.
