PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The role in Crewe offers the great opportunity for someone who is innovative, knowledge seeking and with passion for problem solving. As a Supply Chain Coordinator you will be responsible for supply chain strategy and commercial relationship with nominated suppliers, pricing for Internal / External enquiries – Price changes, management of inventory parameters and stock reduction for designated parts.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you would be responsible for:

• The continuation of supply chain strategy and relationship with nominated suppliers

• Placing / expediting purchase orders and MRP generated schedules

• Supplier performance monitoring and performance reviews

• Pricing for Internal / External enquiries

• Management of inventory parameters and stock reduction for designated parts

• Resolution of queries relating to supplier paymentsNegotiate PO changes with suppliers to ensure due dates and quantities are aligned to fluctuations in Operations requirements

• Support the internal customers

• Drive reductions in supplier lead times and costs

• Implement supply chain solutions with suppliers e.g. Service Exchange , VMI , 2-bin, Kanban, Consignments, to minimize inventory costs and improve service level

• Maintain SAP database on Vendor pricing lead times and contract validity

Qualifications

• Experience in deployment of Supply Chain Management strategies

• Inventory management practices & techniques

• Understanding of fleet maintenance material requirements

• Working knowledge of SAP purchasing and inventory modules

• Trained in LEAN and CI tools eg 3C, 5S

• Experienced negotiator in commercial contracts

• Excellent communicator including presentation skills

• Good analytical skills. Competent on Excel at Intermediate level
