Purpose of the job:

Create, maintain and drive the deployment of Global Commodity Sourcing strategies till supplier’s selection, working closely together with Product Management/Lead Engineers and Product Procurement Managers.

Accountable to develop and, where feasible, reduce supplier panel for respective commodities.

Support supplier Building Block definition and selection process for both product and bid phases.

Negotiate the key contracts and establish frame agreements with suppliers across all Regions and Product Families.

Support supplier development activities together with Supplier Quality Assurance teams allocated to the scope.

Contribute to optimize the Total Cost of Ownership of our products through best in class supply chain, aftermarket concepts and Supplier Relationship Management.

Your responsibilities will include:

•Create purchasing leverage and gain from synergies across regions /global businesses

•Category benchmark and intelligence

•Support and drive standardization of PU and definition of Building Blocks and their convergence across Product Families

•Prepare & Present category presentations

•Align early sourcing plans prior to bid stage with major stakeholders, particularly with Product Books

•Optimize supply base in terms of QTCCT (Quality, Time, Cost, Cash, Technology) and for local content requirements

•Supplier performance monitoring with KPIs provided by Supplier Quality Assurance teams

•Supplier relation management with global suppliers, holding regular Global Business reviews

•Foster innovative solutions from supply base to obtain competitive advantaged for Bombardier Transportation

•Support tender/bidding process for key bids

•Validate Procurement Blue Book inputs for the category

•Implement Frame agreements

•Support major claim processes

•Develop commodity cost model together with Costing Teams

•Build contact network external, cross divisional, cross functional & foster cooperation wherever needed

•Perform regular and structured reviews of strategies and network strategic actions with Commodity Network

Qualifications

•Education: Degree in Engineering, Commercial or Technical Field preferred;

•Typically, 5-10 years’ work experience and minimum 5 years of experience in procurement related role;

•Financial awareness, in particular, experience in cost structure analysis, cost control activities, target settings;

•Solid to advanced experience of procurement business processes and tools;

•Fluency in English, French is a plus.
