We are looking to recruit a Head of CoE Non-Infrastructure Environment for our Global Vehicle Operability Center of Expertise team

-Incumbent can be located in Derby UK, Crespin FR, Hennigsdorf DE, St Bruno CA -

Your role
Accountable for the CoE technical domain and the lead of the CoE global expert network, the assurance of capacity and capability within the CoE and the successful and efficient execution of the work in all projects across all product families and sites in the technical domain.
Within the technical domain, roles and mandates are aligned with the company’s focus on driving standardization and convergence across Product Families, business competitiveness and differentiation with proven and innovative solutions providing high customer values with low risks and costs across the entire value chain.

Your responsibilities
• Develop capability in environmental conditions compatibility - specification and compliance
• Receive trainings from Systems Integration and Vehicle Performance & Safety Functions
• Work with Systems Integration to develop a comprehensive scope detailed in the Operability process
• Harmonise performance management processes with Vehicle Subsystem Performance function
• Create environmental building block requirements for PF opportunities


• Solid engineering experience in Operability Environment
• Structured, driven and process-oriented person able to lead a team of experts/specialists
• Budget, project and resource planning experience
• Very good understanding of engineering processes and tools
• Experience on mechanical/electrical design areas
• Very good working experience in an international environment
• Excellent leadership skills
• Visionary thinking and able to implement strategy initiatives in his domain of expertise
• Understand interface and impact with other technical domains
• Have detailed knowledge of train/vehicle operation tasks and performance. This shall include a detailed understanding of safety and reliability tasks (manual interventions arising from degraded and emergency conditions.
• Understand the structured approach and details for product operational validation and demonstration of compliance. Additionally, understand track access and, crew provisions needed to support the validation programme
