Head of Procurement and Supply Chain Transformation & Governance

Purpose of the job

The role is responsible to govern Procurement and Supply Chain regional processes and tools for the UK Region, ensuring the effective operation of the function.
Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain UK Region, the incumbent will ensure the implementation of global strategies, tools and processes and be responsible of customizing them for UK Region. The Head of PSC Transformation & Governance will also lead the PMO team and execute the P&SC regional internal communication strategy; coordination of external communications with suppliers and key stakeholders will also be a focus.

Key duties/responsibilities

Strategy Development
• Support in defining and implementing procurement strategies, procedures and governances (Supplier Quality Assurance included)
• Manage the UK Region Strategy Plan and drive its implementation
• Ensure development, implementation and continuous improvement of standardized procurement processes and tools. Handle the simplification and integration of functional process & tools.
• Provide ongoing support to strategy delivery and translate it into effective operating measure and procedures.
• Reinforce link and efficient collaboration with all functions including within core and central functions
• Develop and implement UK Region P&SC internal and external Communication Strategy

Governance
• Development, implementation and ongoing management of objectives/ policy deployment process, ensuring all parts of the wider P&SC organisation are aligned and driving forward
• Creating and updating monthly dashboards to track changes in key metrics
• Drive global /cross-regional/cross-divisional and cross-functional Procurement Initiatives
• Drive procurement standardization process across UK Region, in accordance with the wider global initiatives

Project Management
• Overall tracking and active management of P&SC improvement projects
• Management of high priority P&SC initiatives. Identification of obstacles and development of effective countermeasures – Work with the wider team to overcome any issues in order to ensure delivery
• Managing cross-functional project teams. Connecting teams that are working on similar initiatives
• Defining and researching new ideas (methods / ways of working etc) and business opportunities

Financial
• Provide overall governance for savings activity across all direct spend areas of the business. Implement an effective process for the active management of ongoing savings programme
• Running the annual budgeting cycle process and the quarterly function budget reviews

Team Management

• Leads the PMO team ensuring acquisition, development and management of talents. Enables and supports team members.
• Manages the team members performance, provides regular feedback.
• Responsible for PMO network and network development.

Qualifications

- Master's degree or higher education in a relevant field (MBA could be a plus).
- Extensive experience in Senior Commercial / Programme Management / Chief of staff roles, preferably in a multinational, complex organisation, working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong management and leadership skills. Ability to provide operational leadership and guidance on strategy development and implementation, to highly specialised cross-functional teams.
- Strong continuous improvement mind-set (proven experience leading LEAN/ 6Sigma significant projects in a Procurement and Supply Chain environment). Preferably 6Sigma Black Belt Certified
- Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships. Experience of managing/ co-ordinating supplier recovery activity.
- Strong change management skills and experience. High degree of flexibility and adaptability.
- Ability to work independently and with team members, exercise critical, creative and self-sufficient thinking. Draw strength from teamwork / collaboration irrespective of geographical, organizational, and cultural boundaries.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluent English skills.
